Huizopa

Huizopa Project

The Huizopa Project is located in the Sierra Madre Occidental Mountains in Chihuahua, Mexico. These mountains contain the Sierra Madre Gold Belt (SMGB), a silver-gold province recognized as one of the most productive gold-silver mining regions in the world which historically produced over 40 million ounces of gold and 2 billion ounces of silver. The Huizopa Project is approximately 17 kilometer southwest of Minefinder's Dolores Project and 33 kilometer northeast of the Alamos Gold's Mulatos gold-silver project, thus Huizopa is on a straight line between these two large producers. The Huizopa project is subject to an 80% Apollo/20% Mineras Coronado joint venture agreement. The Huizopa project consists of a block of mining concessions covering 170 square kilometer.
