Loma Hueca
Brigus has joint ventured this project to Everton Resources, wherein Everton has been granted an option to earn an initial 50% interest by making cash payments totaling US$100,000, incurring expenditures of US$0.6 million and issuing Linear 200,000 Everton common shares over a three year period. Upon reaching a 50% interest, Everton has an option to increase its ownership to 65% by incurring all expenses to the completion of a bankable feasibility study, and paying Brigus an additional US$250,000 and 300,000 Everton common shares.
The Loma Hueca concession consists of the eastern margin of the Cumani Concession and the western margin of the Loma Lovaton concession previously explored by MIM. Work at Cumani indicated stream sediment anomalies and soil anomalies in the Rio La Savita drainage area. Soil sampling , trenching and drilling were undertaken on the Cumani target without significant grades being encountered, however weak soil gold anomalies and increasing arsenic and antimony values on the eastern margin of the target were never followed up.
A small soil grid was also established by MIM in the Arroyo Cuance area in an effort to identify the source of stream sediment anomalies to the north and south. Weakly anomalous values were identified on the northwestern end of the grid, but no followup was undertaken.
Work in the Carpintero area identified anomalous gold, however further work identified that the source of the gold was alluvial and no additional followup work was undertaken.
Target Areas
Cañada Sucia
Soil anomalies in gold arsenic and antimony are present in the Cañada Sucia area which were located on the extreme eastern margin of the Cumani prospect soil grid.
Caño el Negro
Bleg stream sediment anomalies in gold occur in the eastern drainages of the Rio La Savita in areas which would project along structural linears from the Cumani targets. These areas have never been followed up by MIM.
Vicente
Bleg stream sedminet anomalies occur to the north and upstream of the Carpintero area which may have served as a source of the Carpintero alluvial gold anomaly. This area has not been followed up by MIM.
Arroyo Cuance
Soil sampling indicates gold anomalies and pyritic alteration of Los Ranchos formation volcanics near the crest of a topographic divide where stream sediment anomalies are encountered both to the north and south. Extension of the soil grid in the direction of the open anomaly would be necessary to determine the size and potential of the area.
Vicente North
Two rock samples indicated anomalous gold values in the Vicente North area, North of the Vicente Bleg anomaly site.
Work Plan
A soil sampling program is planned for the Arroyo Cuance and Cañada Sucia areas to identify the extent and tenor of gold mineralization from the previous smaller soil sampling programs.
