Loma El Mate

5775 Hectares
Exploration concession granted March, 2002

Loma El Mate is joint ventured with Everton Resources Inc., wherein Everton has acquired a 50% interest in the property by funding and completing two years of exploration. Everton has been granted the option to increase its ownership by incurring all additional expenditures to the completion of a bankable feasibility study.

Brigus and Everton have completed two phases of drilling at Loma El Mate. On May 17, 2006 the companies announced the results from the first phase of drilling which included 10 holes. Significant mineralization was intersected in the first drilling phase including hole TBM-07 which recorded 10.58 metres of 2.96 grams per tonne gold, 104 grams per tonne silver, 2.03% copper and 9.41% zinc. A subsequent 12 hole drill program was designed to test the continuity and extensions of the high-grade gold-copper mineralization during August 2006. Drilling intersected the massive sulphide mineralization over an area of 100 X 100 metres and remains open laterally and down dip. Significant results from the two drill programs are listed in Table 1, and the drill hole locations are displayed in Map 1.
